American businesses, and the millions of hardworking people they employ, need to get back to work and get our economy back on track as soon as possible. Before COVID 19, and for the first time in decades, America boasted a historically successful economy with the lowest unemployment rate in history, a booming stock market, and unparalleled wage growth. To recover the gains this pandemic has destroyed, America will need to dig deep into its core, to garner the strength and gains we saw post WWII.
In the 60 years after World War II, the United States not only recovered, but built the greatest middle-class economy in American history. Two motivating factors of that recovery were America’s hard stance against socialism, and its belief in the individual, American exceptionalism, and a commitment to putting its people over its politics. As we look toward the coming of 2021, we must remain focused on the strength and sustainability of our people, over the overreaching power of our politics.
